How much does the service cost?
There is no charge to our candidates whatsoever. We hope that if we provide a high level of service you will then recommend us to your friends and colleagues.
What benefits are there in registering with Red Seal?
Red Seal is a sector and regional specialist. We understand the trades labour market in BC and our clients are all focused on projects in this region. We don't guarantee that we can find a job but we sincerely hope that you feel that we've tried our best in doing so.
What happens when I send you my resume?
When you register on www.redsealrecruiting.com or send us your resume, we will review your experience and ensure that we only contact you about the most relevant jobs. You should receive notification of receipt immediately and a call or email within 48 hours. When we email we may want to clarify some of your experience or things in your resume. If we have current postings or clients interested in your skills we will then set a time to carry out a thorough telephone interview. We guarantee that no clients will be forwarded your resume until we have spoken with you first.
How long will it take you to find me a job?
We cannot guarantee that we will find you a job. We place a high percentage of the people that register with us but unfortunately we are not able to place all of them. If you have applied for a specific job advertisement and you are suitable, we may find you a position within days of registering. If you require us to carry out a confidential career search, it might take us a few weeks. You may register with us when we have nothing suitable for you, in that case you will be added to our database and contacted when something suitable does arise.
What happens if I'm looking for a job outside of BC?
We work with regional companies as well as regional offices of some of the country's leading companies. If you are looking for a position outside of BC we will attempt to leverage off our contacts within some of the national companies and will also advise you of similar recruiting services in other parts of the country that might be able to help.
How do I know if I'm being paid enough?
We do offer free salary advice and salary surveys for clients. We are happy to advise you on the current market rates.
Will my current employer find out that I am looking for other work?
Our service is totally confidential. Red Seal will not divulge any personal information unless you authorize us to do so. Keep in mind that once you have agreed to enter into discussions with other employers more people will know of your interest in finding other work.
How will I find time to attend interviews?
Most of our clients understand that it is difficult to get away early to attend interviews sometimes. We work with our clients on finding mutually suitable times and venues for interviews; we will even make our own offices available if required.
How can I make my resume more attractive to potential employers?
We are happy to work with you on your resume. We can provide advice on how to structure it or even re-write it completely if required.
How often will you contact me?
We will contact you as soon as we can after your registration on www.redsealrecruiting.com. We will keep in touch with you throughout the recruitment process if you are applying to a specific vacancy, even if there is no news. If our employers have no immediate openings in your area of expertise, we will not contact you.
