Elko is a small but friendly sawmill town on the Elk River, offering limited services. Watch for the big ice cream cone announcing the towns' claim to ice cream fame. Elko is situated in a narrow valley in the rugged Canadian Rocky Mountains, in the heart of southeast BC.

The position… Interested individuals must possess BC or inter-provincial Electrical trade certification. The Position…
We are looking for people who have experience in the following areas; experience and familiarity with maintenance planning and maintenance processes; experience working in a service organization to a mining or industrial client; project management; industrial maintenance/mechanical engineering; and supervisory experience managing a multi-site organization.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, your responsibilities include delivery of projects safely, on schedule, under budget, with high quality deliverables and cost savings; all while facilitating a positive experience for the client. You will create, implement and monitor CBAM systems, processes and standards. The position requires travel to project sites at various mines in the region on a daily basis to ensure accurate and timely follow up, provide program coordination, and customer support and support sales initiatives.

Responsibilities: Safely delivering programs on schedule, under budget, with high quality deliverables and cost savings.
Providing exceptional customer service by proactively listening to the customer’s needs and addressing their concerns in order to exceed their expectations.
Creating, implementing, and monitoring CBAM systems, processes, and standards at the Company’s client locations.
Expertise Required:
Background in mechanical engineering, maintenance systems, and processes in heavy industry equipment.
Working knowledge/experience with underground and/or surface mining equipment is preferred.
Knowledge of lubrication, oil analysis, and maintenance principles.
Effective human relation skills (influence, direct, motivate, evaluate), team building techniques, change management and leadership abilities both internally and externally.
Minimum Requirements: Strong Project Management skills with a successful track record managing multiple programs in remote locations.
5+ years of experience within an industrial maintenance environment. Experience working as a contractor providing a service/product to a client is preferred.
Experience working in a heavy industry equipment environment.
Working knowledge of maintenance practices associated with heavy equipment, mining equipment is preferred.
Work experience as a mechanic is a strong plus.
PMP or other Project Management Certification would be an asset.

You will be part of a crew who construct, repair, and maintain electrical distribution lines on poles, towers, structures, and underground electrical distribution lines and cables. Your duties will include erecting and maintaining wood pole structures, patrolling circuits, emergency repairs, installing and splicing underground cables and related wiring, connecting and disconnecting transformers, installing and maintaining switchgear, installing revenue meters, and more.
Terms of Employment:
Two Permanent, Full Time positions working 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with overtime opportunities available.
Compensation:
$41.76 per hour, relocation assistance available, benefits as per collective agreement
Requirements:
Powerline Certificate licensed to work in BC, ability to maintain logs and other records, transmission experience, knowledge of safety procedures related to line work, Class 3 Driver’s license. Being a team player, Live Line Hot Stick / Barehand, and experience with working around helicopters are assets.
