Description:Our client is an open pit molybdenum mine, mill, and roaster. The mine has a projected life of approximately 27 years. It includes a concentrator that processes ore through crushing, grinding, and flotation circuits into molybdenum disulfide concentrate, and a multiple-hearth roasting facility that converts the concentrate into technical grade molybdenum oxide. The mine processes approximately 31,000 tons of ore per day.

The work site is located 200 km. from Prince George, BC. This small lakeside community is in central BC and offers year round recreational activities such as hockey, curling, skiing, fishing, golfing, boating, hiking, and hunting. As a full time employee you would receive competitive wages and benefits package as well as relocation assistance. There is a medical clinic staffed by four doctors, a nurse practitioner, nurses and technicians. Both company and private rental accommodations are available at reasonable rates.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time. Candidate must be willing to work either a 5 day 40 hour week followed by 2 days off, a 4X3 – 10 hour shift schedule, or a 4X4 - 12 hour shift schedule

Salary: $32.87/hr. Full time employees receive benefits.

Education: Provincial or inter-provincially certified as an electrician

Experience: 3-5 Years of experience with AutoCAD, and PLC and HMI control systems is essential. The ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits is required. Preference will be given to those with mining or industrial process experience, a PLC background with Modicon and GE Fanuc, and instrumentation knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Troubleshooting and repair on older equipment.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- High voltage systems maintenance.
- Installation of new equipment.
- Perform calibrations on process instruments.
- Maintaining all new and used equipment.
- Perform Preventative maintenance on required equipment.
- Perform repairs to mining equipment such as drills and shovels.
- May be required to work shift work.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Perform duties indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
- All other duties as required by the department.

Job ID:Job-0354 - Industrial Electrician - ON HOLD
Description:Our client is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join their team at a pulp mill in the Kootenay River Valley of British Columbia. This mill is one of the most modern and environmentally sensitive mills in Canada and produces Northern bleached softwood kraft.

The employer is a large, diversified and integrated forest products company which stands as the global leader in sustainable forest management practices. The company operates over 30 pulp, paper, and wood product manufacturing units. With operations in North America, China, Korea, and Japan, the Company employs approximately 8,000 people.

The mill is located near Kimberley and Cranbrook. The area is full of activities such as: fishing, hunting, hiking, and hot springs.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $36.13/hour as of May 1st, plus comprehensive benefits

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Kootenay River Valley, British Columbia

Hours: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, depending on crew assigned.

Working as part of the E&I department you will be responsible for maintaining and installing all aspects of Electrical Maintenance, troubleshooting and installations.

Qualifications Required: Industrial Electrician BC Trade Certification, Inter-Provincial or Red Seal certificate is preferred.
