As a Senior Electronic Technician you will be responsible for installation, programming, troubleshooting and repair of fixed and portable radio equipment and related electronic devices in vehicles and at customer sites. Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $65,000 + DOE per year plus excellent benefits package
Shifts: 9:00 to 5:00pm Monday to Friday with occasional overtime. Some daytime and overnight travel will be required.

Education: Knowledge of Electrical Equipment and Electronics acquired through a 2 year college program or equivalent.
Experience:
-Minimum 5 years experience in troubleshooting of radio electronics in the shop and in the field
-Valid driver’s licence and clear driving history
-Mechanical aptitude relating to the installation of radio and antenna equipment
-Expert with the use of signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and R.F. watt meters
-Expert knowledge and use of small hand tools commonly used in the construction of custom built electronics equipment
-Familiarity with vehicle and fixed antenna system to allow for efficient troubleshooting
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as neat appearance and clear sense of team spirit, necessary in working closely with customers and staff
-Ability to complete work orders, and submit time sheets neatly and in a timely manner
-Networking and I.T. skills are desirable, but optional, as a supplement to good radio skills
Duties and Responsibilities
-Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting
-Repair of the following to-way radio equipment:
-fixed, portable and automotive radios
-dispatch consoles, trunked radio system, radio-over-IP links
-power supplies, antennas, and antenna multi-coupling components
-Programming of radio, pagers, sirens, light bars, license plate reader
-Device modification at the components level to meet design objectives
-Fabrication of small analog and digital circuits
-You will be working in a service shop, in the garage and at the customer locations
-There will be an occasional requirement for climbing ladders and small masts, hiking into remote locations, lifting, and other physical activity, requiring familiarity with Work Safe BC safety guidelines.
-Work is performed both independently and in a team environment
-Technician may be required to move customer vehicles in and out of the garage and in the parking areas.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent will lead all maintenance activities at our client’s Burns Lake facility in order to meet objectives and targets including driving safe work practices, improving reliability and reducing costs. The Maintenance Superintendent is also responsible for coaching and developing employees to safely achieve cost effective results and optimize their performance.
Burns Lake, BC is located about 222 km west of Prince George on Highway 16. The village, surrounded by nature, has a diverse population of 3,614 residents and serves a surrounding area of approximately 10,000 residents in the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako. Duties and Responsibilities
-Responsible for successful planning and execution of Transmission projects, including profitability, effective project management, costing, risk management, scheduling, safety performance, and administration, all in accordance with policies, procedures and processes.
-Organize and supervise all site staff, subcontractors, equipment, and materials in the most efficient and expedient manner to maximize efficiency and profitability.
-Monitor jobs progress, availability of personnel, equipment requirements, job morale, adequacy of work force and subcontractor performance. Ensure maintenance of quality standards and compliance with job requirements and specifications. Review job costs and schedules with field supervision and enact remedial action if/as required.
